1977 ironhead rebuild
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have a 1977 xlh1000 that I'm about to do a rebuild on. The engine is almost completely stock except for the mikuni carb and a 23T drive sprocket that I installed to help with highway speeds.
I knew if I changed the sprocket that if lose low end torque but I didnt realize that it would be that drastic. I wanna know what I can do to beef up the motor to compensate the loss of torque and what my options are? I'm already considering purchasing andrews R5 cams but I'm not sure if that'll get what I'm looking for. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks
