Installed a new 3.25-19 Avon Speedmaster tire, a pair of Russell drilled stainless disc rotors, a new speedometer cable, and a Nesscafe' XLCR-copy front fender on the old XLX this past weekend. The tire is old school cool, but handles well.

 

I got to be honest, I liked your old style front fender better. Still looks good though.

 

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'll probably put it back on in the near future. I just wish it wasn't so dang heavy...

 

Added air cleaner trim from an early '70s XLCH and put the old style front fender back on...

 

I really like both of those parts. I learned to love the fender with my first IronHead ~15 years ago and the A/C trim soon after. Later I found similar starter and generator end caps. Sometimes I wonder about the artists who designed these things. Awesome!
