Not mine. Its in another province but thought this is something you dont see for sale very often and one of you Iron heads might be interested.

Thanks for the photo. The Boat Tail seat was NOT very popular on either the Sportster or the 1st Duper Glide. Many ended up siting collecting dust on the shelf.

Yes, but now there is a subset of biker guys who WANT one and will PAY for it.

LOL, they must be in Canada. The reason they were not received back then, was because it was not the Traditional Harley look. In 1979 Sportsters came with 2 into 1 into 2 dual crossover exhaust, affectionately call the Siamese Pipes. Left and right mufflers, again not the Traditional Harley look and it sounded too Japanese.

I love how these part sellers attempt to pump up their product..... "a one year only option". Really !?

The boat tail was available in 1970 and 1971.
