need a conversion electric start
 

reaching out to try to find a conversion kit for a 72 ironhead from kickstart to electric. I like the kick, but cold weather in kentucky makes it hell. Anyone?

My advice is to forget about the project. Unless you have more money than you can spend, then it may be feasible.
A Sportster that did not come with an electric starter will require:
The starter motor
starter shaft housing adapter
start button
starter relay
neutral switch
solenoid
A hole drilled and threaded into the top of the primary case. (This alone should tell you no)
Clutch ring gear (on the back side of the clutch basket)
larger battery
battery mounted in center of frame (if yours is currently on the left side)
side mount oil tank (if you currently have a center mount tank.....( big battery has to go there)
That is the big stuff needed, and it will cast a small fortune to obtain it and a lot of hard work to install. Summer is not far off.........pg
