Got my 78 back from the shop after fixing the starter issues. Starts better than new and runs like a champ. Thanks to all that tried to help me fix the issue. As it turns out it was a few things that prevented the soleniod from engaging the starter drive completly. Hopefully that's all of the issues and I can ride all summer
