Default Larger gas tank suggestions

Anyone have any suggestions for a larger tank swap that will bolt right up ones requiring minimal modifications? Decided this little tank just aint ganna cut it. Anyone ever put a secondary tank or something on their bikes to store extra fuel? Kinda sux that their is no reserve either..

If you can locate a tank off an older XLH or a KH K Model, that tank will bolt right on.
Those tanks are
4 gal tanks. Larger than the 2.2 gal XLCH tanks.
So you could run almost 150 miles rather than the 65 to 75 miles on the peanut tank.

The downside of course is they may be difficult to find one, and it will be old, so possibly beat up or rusted inside.
Beat up is OK....It can be fixed.
Rusted inside I would pass on. There is no good way to fix that.

... and there are the Roadster tanks from 1980 to 1985, 3.6 or 3.8 gallons. And the SuperGlide tanks, identical to the 3.6 Roadster tanks.

Here is a 3.6 gal 1980 Roadster tank in original paint that i scored off eBay ...

You have the standard peanut sized tank not the king tank.

IMO the King tank is the best choice if you want both more volume and the traditional style.

I had a king tank and went to the peanut tank it was a direct swap. Looks like you have the peanut so the king should bolt right up . I just like the look of the smaller tank for me.
