he must rev his pretty hard, he is talking about the built in rev limiter that the ignition has , never felt the need for one on a bike and mine isnt near stock and i sure dont baby it lol

What I mean about saving the engine. Accel Single-Fire System as were you can SET your RPMs to were you like it. . If you want to set your RPMs at 7500 you can do so or LOWER. I know a lot of brothers that always try to get that last RPM out of there motor wend raceing. And guess what BANG goes the motor. ****ing rod's laying all over the place. Just for another 500 rpms. So for around $234.00 your buying insurance. Oh sure you can still BLOW up your motor if your a **** head. My motor is 100" S&S in a 2003 XR1200 with a Baker six speed trans. So the revlimiter comes in handle for me at time's. And yes I ride hard.

I keep my rev limiter at 6000 RPM. I rarely exceed 5000 - no need for it, plenty of excitement at that level. However i am thinking of driving on a two lane hiway, on a windy day, passing big truck, in 3rd gear, Oooopppssss!!!! a vehicle coming my way! I want to keep accelerating without downshifting.

Hasn't happened yet [20 years riding] but ...
