1979 xlh 1000 sissy bar mounting brackets

I'm trying to locate the mounting brackets for the above model. The mounting holes are exactly 8" apart.

I have seen them on eBay a couple of times recently. Have you searched the J&P Cycles catalog? Or asked their tech service? Sorry, no more ideas just now.

I think I found a set on eBay, but the mounting holes are different. I may be looking at the wrong mounting method. Going to see them Saturday.

1980xls had a really nice bar fitted as standard

this will bolt onto your bike

for my money I would scour flea bay and the like and get the genuine part that will fit and will look right
