Default Jugs back from shop

Got my jugs and new and pistons back from the shop today. Going to start the re-assemble this weekend. But have a question. How do I tell front cylinder from rear? I had them labeled, the shop took them off to do the machine work. Also, how do I install these piston pin retaining clips?

Both cyl are the same and those spiral clips you just start one tail in the grove and work it in. They do however make a special tool for them. Google spiral piston clip tool.

The cylinders are not the same!!! I'll post more on this later this evening.

The piston pin clips are not easy to install [unless you know the correct technique]. There are different types; i think your are the spiral type. Do Google, internet and forum searches to find discussions on how to install them.

I thought i had some pics that would help, but i do not. I believe that there is a cutout in the very top cooling fin of each cylinder for the exhaust. Look them over carefully keeping in mind where the pushrods go.

On my 07 you can put the cyl on the front or the rear. You just have to have the relief for the PR's going the rite way.

When I seen this title to your post it reminded me of when my wife had her breast implants done and she came home from the hospital. You know "my Jugs are back from the shop."
