Default My "new" ironhead!

Here it is! My 1984 Harley Roadster XLS 1000! It was immaculately cared for and only had about 9000 original miles on it! I got it for an absolute steal! Only mods so far are the bags, pipes, and a 600 watt bluetooth stereo. It came with all of the original receipts, maintenance records, Clymers manual, original take off parts, extra turn signal lenses, tool kits, and two kryptonite locks. Not a scratch on it! I am SO happy to have this for my first Harley! I was told it had a different (larger) tank installed, but I am not for sure about that. I'm going to adjust the valves this week as they are a little loud. But other than that, not a single issue!

The 1983-on Roadster came with a large 3.8 US gallon tank with a tank mounted instrument. It is big enough that i doubt that anyone would change it up. So what you have is probably the original fuel tank.

The pipes could be original, or perhaps they are Cycle Shack brand ? Looks like CS heat shields ?

In any case congrats on this. And enjoy!

The previous owner kept the orignal pipes (slip ons)...which I now have. They are in a Drag Specialties box. Good to know about the fuel tank though! Going to work on adjusting the pushrods tonight. The clickity clack is getting WAY too loud! Just ordered a Kuryakyn Hypercharger for it yesterday. Maybe it is my love of drag racing, but I've ALWAYS loved the look of a Harley with a Hypercharger on it!

No worries! Alreay re-sold it. Just didn't fit it looks-wise. May go with a S&S.
