I need to order a pickup for my JD as well, like I said, the one on my VL has over 6000 miles on it, and 2000 of those miles under way less than desirable conditions, It was exposed to a lot of heat and oil trying to get that old wobbler sorted out. That thing worked flawlessly. I probably should toss the electronic advance distributor and put in a mechanical, and a 2000 pickup.

John, you were spot on with the accel distributor, total POS, have a stock type with weights and points. gonna dial it in with points and put the EV2000 in it. Thanks for the heads up, we'd have fought it a long time had you not told me about it.

My painter found as close as color match as he could and we went with it. I know its not a correct 46 color, but I never got that bike of Walkslers outa my mind. We're not quite done with it, Ill post up some better pix when she's done.

If you are asking about the 46 I have to cop to kinda copying this bike. This was a WTT bike and I saw it at Bonhams in Vegas in 2016. It was just a gorgeous color combo. It looked so damned good under the lights and according to Matts painter its a correct color for the year.

you cant use the ( EV2000 ) ignition as it turns in the wrong direction - flat sides gearing needs to be replaced to do that - reason I said eds magnetic trigger

the dizzy you have with the advance unit you need to get the correct points replacement for that 1965 to 1969 - you can blend but need to stay in correct replacements
