Default Electric Bicycle?

Where is the thread for the people looking forward to a HD e-mountain bike? I'm super excited. After recently moving to Utah, the thought of getting back into off road/trail riding is very attractive. The ability to quietly rack up so many more miles and cover so much more ground with electric assist, is too compelling to ignore. Especially if its less than 100 lbs and can travel more than 40 miles on a charge. Please make it easy to trailer-hitch it and then charge up off an inverter, while outdoors! Anyone else want a fast, off road e-bike?

From what I have seen in the two videos Harley put out a few months ago they are not electric pedal assist bikes, they are electric powered bikes. They have no pedals on them for human power. Not saying Harley won't make those as well, but it's not what has been shown.

Hope they offer Screamin' Eagle slip-ons for them, I've heard they're pretty quiet....

From personal experience on my electric. There is no way that is getting 40miles a charge with a rider who goes over 25mph regularly. There's just not enough energy density in batteries that size yet.
It's probably 40miles at 15~20mph in ideal condititions.
If you're thinking of getting one of these for romping around out in the woods, you're gonna have to be easy and light on the throttle, and avoid climbs because it's gonna eat up your charge real fast.
At 20mph you're using around 22~25 watts a mile, at 30mph it jumps to 45, at 37mph you're looking at 66~70watts a mile.
When harley releases the total watt energy of the battery (voltage times amp hours) then you can get your total range potential calculation in.
