Northern New Mexico. Weather Is unbelievable here, you can pretty much ride 85% of the year.

All is well. I misunderstood.

Cheap and great weather with biker friendly bars, that's Texas gulf coast like stated before. Hell south Texas is the snow birds paradise, oh and guns galore. Check out Victoria and the surrounding areas.

Texas, or Florida.

I'd pick FL (and did). Texas was my second choice.

I live in midstate South Carolina. 2 hours from the beach and 2 hours from the mountains. Good place to be.

I don't mind the original poster didn't come back to this as long as all of you don't. A lot of good responses to this, I'm in NY, we often talk about getting some place warmer after we retire 6-7 years.

So, the OP started the thread 5 years ago, and hadn’t posted since. I wonder where he ended up?

The LIE, a Long Island landscape flat as a 60's supermodel, either the Throgs Neck or Whitestone bridge [with NYC traffic] in order to get to better riding areas, roads that are straight as an arrow and a season that only lasts from basically May to October [if you're lucky] - what's not to like.

It's hotter than hell here. Everything that moves bites or stings. Fire ants, scorpions, rattlesnakes, I could go on and on. You have to mow grass twice a day if you can get it to grow. Chances are the cactus will choke it out though.

I wouldn't recommend the Texas Hill Country to anyone. If you're not born here it takes at least 10 years of scars to grow a hide thick enough to just get by.

The sun's always in your eyes which are already full of sweat. Then there is that nasty sweet tea that everyone drinks.

They used to have me driving the Welcome Wagon till that time I got it stuck in the ditch.
