California roll call

Welcome to California! Massachusetts to the California desert is quite a change. Yeah, the wind corridor on the 10 is pretty nuts. At least you’re close to Pappy and Harriet’s! And you don’t have to spend too much time on freeways to get to a nice riding road, Big Bear, Rim of the World, etc. Cheers!

You must be in a pretty remote area.
Per BuzzCap7’s link above, https://www.sc-ma.com , this organization has some pretty good rides, it looks like as a group or done individually. The Butler motorcycle maps are a good resource for ride ideas and good roads for riding. No New England winters here to deal with.

having moved here from Massachusetts to Joshua Tree, i expected harleys & hot rods galore. accckk ! very, very few HERE. geez, not even paved roads here......beach sand roads that knock you over .
i go down the hill towards Palm Springs to get near civilization. the valley of wind turbines is unpassable some times. the I10 is a terror for a bike.
i'd like to go to AZ or NM, myself.

That's the high desert and it's a very small slice of California. You need hit the coast road north of Ventura and see what the rest of the state looks like before jumping to snow bird central and higher temps in those two. You haven't begun to see the good stuff yet.
