There used to be one in Annandale Virginia called the Sunset Grill, that shut down a couple years ago and the only thing I can think of is the Iron Horse in Penn Quarter but that's more of a *biker themed* bar where the actual patrons are hipsters. Anybody in the DC area ... where do you hang out?

It's a great idea but it's SoMa's too far. (Southern MD)

(For me) Ape Hangers would be more of a:
"plan-your-entire-evening-get-a-sitter-for-the-kids-full-scale-event"
but I was hoping for more of a:
"nothing-good-on-tv-ride-down-a-couple-exits-check-out-the-bikes-and-some-cool-folks"

FWIW from time to time I'll see bikes outside Satellite, Madams, and R&R but upon entrance you're more likely to see "some orange haired feller singing about suicide"

D.C. is not exactly biker friendly......all the places are in So MD, or VA. Don't know about the north side like Montgomery County.
You might shoot down 295 to National Harbor, or the Warf in DC, have rode to the old waterfront section up off Whitehurst Freeway in Georgetown. That gets crazy also.

 

This place is close to me. Unique outside bar stools. Stays open year round. Food is pretty good. Another place in this area would be the Woodstock Inn.

 

 

Buckeystown pub in Buckeystown MD. Just south of Frederick on 85. Not DC, but not too far. Nice big structure covered patio with stage for live music on weekends(even outdoor bar). They have good food and do crabs also. Lots of riders and events there, maybe you'll see me with my Low Rider S! Cheers

 

I'll try Open Road in Falls Church first.
I figured nothing in DC proper.
Prefer to keep it somewhat close, say Woodbridge to the South, Centreville to the West, Silver Spring to the North, and Largo to the East.
