    I have an 08 Heritage.

If you can read the (tiny) print on those Dunlop charges I posted in that thread, you will notice that the overall width of the E3 160 is near the same as the 401 150, maybe even a hair narrower. Fit under the fender was not an issue at all.

However, it is rated for a 3 1/2 rim and our rims are 3 inch.
It's working out just fine on this bike, as well as my last bike. I like the tire.

Ed. Saw your post about running the 160 E3 on the back of your Softail. Do you have a Heritage and if so what year? I've wanted to try that but always worried about clearance on the 160. I ran a 160 ME880 on my last bike (Vulcan 1500) and didn't have any problems either. Thanks. ary
