I did not change my bushings when I did the bars.

This is my second set of these bars. I had a 10" set on my 08 SG and now the 13" on the 14 SGS. I really like them and the only thing I had to do was buy the CANBus wiring extensions. The TBW and brake and clutch lines were all long enough to reach. The 13" allow me to use the mirrors with no issue. I think the only time it would be an issue is if you pull the bars back toward you, but if you push them forward to run in line with the inner fairing you shouldn't have any problems seeing out of the mirrors. Definitely no elbow obstruction. The one thing I will say is if your bike is a 13 or older I would go with the Road6 Customs Holey Roller 1-1/4" bars instead of the 1" bars. I went with the 1" bars both times and it was a bitch and a half to get them internally wired on my 08. The 14 was easy since the CANBus wiring is significantly smaller diameter, but that larger diameter wiring on the 13 and older bikes will test your patience if you want to run the wires internally.
