Do you do your own oil changes?

Slightly ashamed to admit I have the dealer do it at my service intervals.

Call Spitzies. See if you can get it vented.

Then you don’t know if you have an oil transfer issue.

My 2019 CVO SG sumped at 6000km's / 6 months old.

HDAU arranged for replacement engine to be installed, the tech at the dealership told me even though mine wasd a 2019 model it was a 10/18 build so it probably missed the oil pump upgrade.

Had a bit of drama with Harley roadside assist as I rode the bike to the dealership rather than arrange it to be transported. At first they weren't going to cover my out of pocket expenses. HDAU got involved and I got motel room, fuel, car hire and return flight to collect the bike covered in the end.

Only downside to the 3 day ride home from where the bike was, was getting done for speeding. Apparently running my engine in isn't a valid reason to speed.

New motor is trouble free so far, put around 2000km's on it so far.

So everyone that buys a used bike with the transfer issue is supposed to just suck it up while their bike is in the shop right in the middle of riding season. I call bull crap on that too. Class action lawsuit would be a better idea.
Well feel free to prove they knew it was malfunctioning when they sold it to you. Then go ahead and find a bunch of others that can too, you can all band together then and sue, and explain how put out you were by purchasing a mechanical thing with a fault. And how you deserve reparations for all your trouble. Let us know how it works out.

He says no issues.
I know with my twincam that if I over fill the primary, it shifts harder and neutral becomes difficult to find. Some report slip with this, but I’d assume it to be more evident with older worn out clutch disks.
And with most tranny to primary oil migration issues, there can be as much, or more than 8oz of lube missing from the tranny. Over the long term, wear is imminent to another wise area where it is almost non existent.
