i'm the op and what i was after was the reporting of any problems with the new engines. i hope they are bulletproof, but what anything new things can and do come up. someone has to keep people informed about it. if they are problem free, i'll most likely buy one in a year or two. until then let everyone know how it's going with these new engines. btw i wouldn't own an indian or victory. just not my style.
No, but 4 valves per cylinder is "twice" what there was.
I'm not sure comparing the 103 to the 107 is apples to apples. What I really like about the M8 over the twincam is the low end torque and the relatively constant power curve (slope?).
The 107 isn't a huge leap over a 103 by any means.
As an owner of 2 different Limiteds one which was hopped up with cam,exhaust etc.and now the owner of a 17....the 107 stock out of the box is indeed an improvement.
