there is just so much 'opinion' that really matters, but everyone thinks theirs matters. I dont have opinions, I'll use facts to back up why I think something is good or bad. like, if it costs too much money to get so much HP out of it, to me, thats a waste of money, to others, its where they put their money, that my opinion, but if putting a certain type of mirror in a certain location causes reduced vision or takes your eye off the road ahead for to long to look in the mirrors, to me, thats fact, its measured, and can be deadly. But yet, still to each their own, we all drive fast, thats a measured fact but no one gives a damn about that one! lol
I don't think the mirrors below the bars are any more risky than on top the bars. My eyes are moving to the mirrors and off the road at that split second no matter where the mirrors are. Harley makes bikes with mirrors on top the bars (most models), under the bars (some sporsters) and on the fairing.

I do think that when you ride more than one bike and the mirrors are in different positions (top on my 03FB and bottom on my 13RKC) that can be a little sketchy and takes some extra time remembering where to look.

Sweet! Lots of goodies added. Not sure what more I'll do before spring. I haven't made up my mind if I want to void my warranty with a good cam/exhaust upgrade yet.

What height shield is that? Did it make a good difference over the stock shield?
