Default 17 Road King status

17 Road King purchased October 2016. 31,000 miles. All stock except for led lights all around and color matched tour pak. Love it. Just returned from 4400 mile adventure to Colorado Springs and back from Pittsburgh. Found 0 oil transfer on my return. 44 mpg. I’m got about 12,000 miles on 2 sets of harley tires and now running American Elites. They still look real good at about 7000 miles. I’m a pretty happy guy.

Only about 600 miles of 2 up. My wife flew out to Denver and we did some sight seeing then she flew home. I often get 46-50 mpg. This trip was interesting in that we were bucking a terrible head wind coming across Kansas and the mpg dropped into the low 30’s for several tank fulls.

Install was pretty easy except for the part where you have to sandwich everything together. It’s a tight clearance with the horn. Wiring was super easy with the extra plug and play accessory plug.
How did the Luv Jugs work out?

Pulled pork, lol, that's funnier than hell. I rechecked my map download. Thought bike wasn't running up to par. Made a mistake and left it in autotune. Runs great again.

Today I installed the low profile solo touring seat and removed the reflectors from the front forks.

Today I installed the Coolflow fan. Just the fan and wiring, because I missed the part in the fitment guide on HD's site that says although kit #2800128 DOES fit the FLTRU and FLHTP, these two models "require separate purchase of Switch Pack P/N 69200173 and Switch Buttons (2) P/N 71400031". Of course. Why include those items? Better yet, why not set up kit #2800120 (for Street Glides/Road Glides) with a cut-down deflector shield in addition to the switch pack that's in that kit and note that it is the kit for the FLTRU/FLHTP! Sometimes, the people running the MoCo make you want to choke them!

At any rate, the fan is mounted and under-battery wiring is all connected (I THINK correctly!), and I swapped the mid-frame deflectors for a pair of gloss black deflectors. Now I have the switch pack/dummy caps on order, but won't see them until next weekend at the earliest: just in time for the near record temps here in Upstate NY (NOT!)!!

I got this new-to-me '17 Road Glide Ultra on 5JUL19, and I think I posted a lot of the swaps in the usual "What did you do to your bagger today?" thread...but aside from the switch pack, I'm waiting on KST 12" Trailblazer bars to arrive along with a set of Custom Face Gauges to replace the stockers (that orange/red light they emit is irritating to me!). Then the transformation will be complete for this year!

The FAN part of the Coolflow Fan Kit (partial kit, for Road Glide Ultras anyway) installed, along with the right side vivid black mid-frame deflector (cut out FOR the fan). Note the other 'mods': the Kahuna AC insert, Timer cover, footboards, brake pedal, Brukus BootShield, and under the stock ham-can is a FuelMoto AC/DC air cleaner setup. I added Cobra 909-Twins for slip ons. Over the winter, a new header with 18mm bungs will replace the stock part, and I'll reinstall my TargetTune kit to this bike.

Left side vivid black mid frame deflector. You'll note the Kahuna derby cover, front and rear passenger boards, shift peg, highway pegs, Corbin Solo Tour seat, Kuryakyn lower door pockets and Alpine SPR-60s in the Tour Pak pods. Most of those parts were swapped off my '15 Ultra Limited when the trade was made.
