I swapped mine with a friend that had a 2015 CVO Limited. He gave me $200 plus his air shocks. I did the labor on both bikes.

I put Progressive 444s on my 15 Ltd. The handling is much improved. The rear shocks on the 17s are the same design as the 16 non air shocks.

I believe the blue on your 17 RK is called Superior Blue.

Count me among those not digging it. Going to be getting a set from Howard this month.

My friend that I swapped shocks with just returned from a 1000+ mile trip. He is very happy with them. He is a big guy 240 lbs compared to me at 170, his bike is heavier than mine. I think it was a mistake for Harley to put these shocks on a lighter bike like the King. It will work for some but for us lighter guys, you cannot adjust them to fit

I'm loving the shocks from his 15 CVO Limited.

Ever notice HD never says what the travel distance is on their shocks.
IMO it's because HD's really behind in this area.
2 1/4'' or 3'' isn't enough no matter what especially with heavy bikes.
Your going to get a harsh ride or bottom out pick your poison.
Quality shocks do help tons but you can only do so much with so little travel.

175 lbs - set on 5 - RGU - love it. Best handling bagger I've ever had. No wallowing and really holds the road.

A lot of guys traded up for the 17 for the suspension alone (some for the power of the m8)and it did not take long for suspension threads to come up. When i rode the m8 s i thought the suspension was unchanged but i have jnr air ride. I think the MoCo needs to redesign the whole rear suspension to get more travel

I recently rented a '17 Road King for a weekend. IMHO, the suspension is an improvement. But, not as good as my '12 TriGlde with Progressive on all points.
