I pulled into the garage the other day and only the left fan was on after I shut the bike off. After about a minute it shut off.

I manually cycled the fans on with the motor off, and both fans worked fine.

Is the system designed that in certain conditions only the left fan comes on? I think I remember Steve Cole posting something about him modifying the system for left fan only sometimes, but I'm not sure.

Yes, I modified all our NONE M8 calibrations for left side fan operation as it made the bikes run cooler and kept the hot air on the left side away from the air intake. On the M8 the OEM calibrations were set very low so I left them alone but you have the ability to adjust them with Msstertune2 yourself.
