Default 107 to 114

I have like 800 miles on my street glide special and have decided to make the move to 114. Bikes goes into the shop today - have the 114 kit, v&h power duals, 450 slipons, heavy breather, fan assisted oil cooler and the FP3 bought and all available to put on the bike. also bought the HD street tuner.

told the shop play with the above mix and do you what you can do but keep it warranty legal since i bought 2 years extended warranty. all the parts are going on before the 60 day cutoff from purchase so all are covered by the 2 yer warranty and with the extended warranty.

they may just do the 114 kit, slipon and the street tuner dont know will see. the 114 kit will give me the performance and the slip ons should do the sound and the fan assisted oil cooler should keep it cooler so removing the cats would help with heat perhaps dont need to?

I think at the end of the day its the power duals that void the warranty so really thinking about just leaving those off right now - what you all think?

If the shop is going to challenge the warranty on your bike it's going to be from the use of the FP3 and not the Power Duals.

The stage 3 is really a great running combo. IMHO the street cannons sound pretty darn good. To be honest I wouldn't want anything louder. For once I have a full dresser that run just Like I want with a no worry warranty.

I had the stage 3 installed and love it. Ran into an issue on Saturday with a knocking noise from the engine. They will tear it down on Wednesday. I'll keep you posted.

You will love the 114" kit, I love mine, running street cannons, just fine for me. I normally run after market but wanted to keep the warranty. I am happy though will keep it as is

Keep me updated on the knocking noice, wondering if it was the same as mine. I had bad set of lifters, it's the same lifters that were screaming eagle from the 110 motor, seems like they have bad batches of them, they replaced mine and now all good

yep I told the shop to keep it warranty so just going to put on the slip ons, the 114 kit, heavy breather and street tuner. will put the power duals and FP3 to the side until next summer.

Go ahead and use the Power Duals. They will not in any way void the warranty. If you install all of the other parts that are going with the 114" kit, you'll just be wasting the entire output of the larger kit as the engine will not be able to produce the power it's capable of because the catalytic converter will still be choking the life out of the exhaust output and the bike will be running so hot you won't be able to ride it for very long.

I agree with the cat choking the exhaust but I'll stick with it for 1 year then get a decatted pipe. I had a built 107 in a 08 RG true duals experimenting I put a set of big city thunder quite baffles in took it out for a ride WOT it was like waaaa no acceleration you can feel a huge difference can't put in what you can't get out. Pulled those suckers out
I feel the same with this bike after stage 2 sure there's more power but its the same feeling of being choked. The more work done to engine the greater the negative effect a restricted exhaust has
I know after a new head pipe and better tuner this will be a even more awesome bike
