There are still breather bolts no different then previous years with the same tubing arrangement located inside the air cleaner directing the vent to your intake. The whole crankcase breather system is different as well as the old breather valve design has changed and thus drastically, as Harley hopes and the consumer as well, eliminates the oil in the AC unit

GlidingJoe has it right... the only thing I'd add is that Harley still acknowledges it could happen. The troubleshooting part of the service manual still says that overfilling with oil could still result in oil getting into the air cleaner housing (and of course, if it gets there it'll probably get into the throttle body)

just changed the air filters in mine and my wife's M8's at 3000 miles..alas, the bottom of the filters were moderately oil saturated..both were to the Full Hot after 1K services and my subsequent initial report that the A/F's were oil free was premature...appears the old 1/2 way up the dipstick HOT still applies to the new engines

Can someone educate me? How does the oil level in the pan dictate whether or not there will be oil coming out of the head breather bolts? I mean, the oil is pumped up to the heads and drains back down, so in theory no matter how much oil is in the pan the same amount is going to be pumped to the heads, where the breather bolts are. I just don't see how running the oil level lower would reduce the breather issue.
