Thanks Rockout..I believe I may have read your post...very nicely done. However I unfortunately have the Willie g grips that has the 2 wire lead and the 3 wire lead coming out of the Left grip and before I start I would really like to know where everything goes.

Yep, understood. My point was that the 12v source(s) may already be there inside the fairing. On my bike it's the 2 pin connector with violet/black wires. There's a dummy cap on the plug to keep dirt out when not in use.

I believe you are correct and thanks for pointing that out. I believe my plug is under the gauges on the Roadglide.

Thank you kind sir..So I understand the one plug that runs down the center of the bars plug in here..but the other wire (hot, ground and switch) must go back under the seat I guess?

I would run hot & ground to plug #5 in the first pic. Switch wire.... maybe cig lighter? Is that powered off when the bike is?

That was my plan. Thank you for the pictures. Strange that the manual shows the location for the Interconnect in the fairing, but looks like this schematic shows it under the gauges. I will likely have it up on the lift tomorrow.

The Aerostitch 'wrap-around' grips work great!
You can install them, ride thru your cold weather and then take 'em off.
I used to do this until I stopped riding in really cold weather...........

Ok, so first the disclaimer...

If you burn down your bike, your house, your neighbor's house.... it's on you. You followed the advice of some guy on the internet lol

So, it seems to me that if the P&A accessory plug in the fairing is switched (I think it is), then you don't need to run your third wire anywhere else. You can just twist it together with the hot wire & use that & ground. You would only need to run the third wire to a switched source if you used the P&A accessory lead that goes straight to the battery for your +/- 12v.

This is basically how the stock heated grips with a batwing fairing work.... just 2 wires (and the left/right interconnect joint)
