Harley fluids due for an update?
seems about due coming up on 5 years and with the new engines taking hold...I did notice they upgraded the labels recently..ROFLMAO
MILWAUKEE (May 22, 2012) - Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Accessories® has upgraded the formula and packaging of three of its key lubricant products. Screamin' Eagle® SYN3® Full Synthetic Lubricant (P/N 62600005, $11.95 quart) and Genuine Harley-Davidson H-D® 360 Motorcycle Oil 20W50 (P/N 62600007, $7.49 quart) are now blended with a cutting-edge polymer viscosity modifier (VM) to improve cold-temperature flow, maintain fluid thickness better when hot, and reduce viscosity breakdown so the oil remains fresher for a longer period of time. Recommended oil-change intervals remain the same.
Formula+ Transmission and Primary Chaincase Lubricant (P/N 62600004, $8.95 quart) is also updated with a new and specific VM that adds thickening efficiency and improves shear stability by more than 30 percent. The new formula provides better film thickness and permits better load carrying capacity and bearing protection in the transmission.

well, outdated info, but didn't know in recent years anyway they made some additive improvements and made me think they may be making another one soon, but who knows..and who cares..I've always used their stuff simply cuz it's convenient since I'm always down there buying crap anyway

There's a whole other sub forum dedicated to oil and oil related stuff... lots of reading in the dozen or so sticky threads there.

yes, please follow this..I only posted in M8 cuz it's been awhile since they updated their formula and thought the time may be ripe to coincide with an all new motor..did not intend to turn this into another "what oil is best" thread
