Picked this up from a lady who said her late husband got this when he worked for Harley-Davidson.

I thought it would be a great conversation piece in my man cave room - Can anyone really tell me anything about it? (other than it is an M8 gear)

It looks to be the counter balancer gear off the crank or counter balancer for an M8..

 

I would think it's a award of some sort. Why not ask the wife a bit about her late husband and possibly ask the moco.

 

Could have been one for everyone at every table setting at the 2017 model dealer meeting and show?

thats the gear on the crank that drives the counter balance gear.
