Default Milwaukee 8 Big bore kit install Step by Step by Fuel Moto

We are disassembling the motor on our 2017 Milwaukee Eight bike today in preparation of our big bore kit R&D. We will be installing big bore piston/cylinders and testing several custom bore sizes we had made. We will also be testing an assortment of cams, cylinder heads, and other assorted components. We have a load of parts here ready to be tested including injectors, throttle bodies, exhaust systems, clutches, etc.. so it is going to take some time to get thru everything. We'll try to keep this thread updated as we go, we have a full schedule of customer work so our M8 R&D will extend to a lot of late nights and weekends. We greatly appreciate everyone's interest and patience as we get thru this testing.

I've read so many of your posts over the last year and fail to understand why you kick these guys so hard.. If I remember correctly you do some of your own work (so do i) but damn, lighten up. Fuelmoto has given a lot of time here, they've went out of there way to provide 'how to" cam kits and so on. Anyone could take their "how to" video's and posts and use someone else's product and do it themselves rather than send the motor, heads, manifold or whatever to them and have them do it.
You buy a powervision from them and you request a new map and within hours you have it, no charge, no hassle, nothing but respectful communication. You want to hit up Jamie, just call, he answers the phone half the time.

I did purchase a tuner from them but that's about as far as my experience with them goes. A lot of companies on here as sponsors and they seem to give more than anyone else, I'm sure they profit from that but that's okay, this is America after all.
I don't think you've ever mentioned having a dynamometer in your house or shop so unless you have their product and got a dyno sheet and then ran it on another one with exact same conditions I don;'t understand why you're carrying on.

You're starting to look like an *** and that's coming from someone who takes pride in being an *******.

Just my 2 cents but I'd let it go while you still have some cred.

Is this just the 107 big bore kit or are you planning to do research on a 117 M8 stage 4 kit?

All of the piston/cylinder combinations we are testing are custom components using the stock 4.375 stroke on the 107" M8 engine.

Jamie how many miles was on this engine before you tore it down? Reason asking this was wondering if the amount of carbon build up on pistons is normal for this engine.

Motor has just under 2000 miles, and a good amount was on the dyno. I'm not too concerned with the carbon as it is pretty typical of most of the engines we disassemble, also consider we used this bike to develop all of our 107" calibrations so it spent more time than normal in an untuned state as we worked thru building maps. I will say that this motor did not have great ring seal initially, as others have noted with their M8's ours puffed some blue smoke when it was new before the motor got up to temp, however after some miles the smoking disappeared so we were not concerned.
