I've had mine for about a month now, but only 100+ miles on it so far (bad weather and a bad pinched nerve). Smooth as silk, pulls like a train...seems like a winner to me!!

To answer your question there have been very few problems. I personally have 7000 miles on my M8 and the only problem I have had was a pinched wire. In fact, I am not sure if it came from the factory like this or if it was caused by dealer when they installed an air cleaner. I have seven or eight friends in the local HOG club riding M8's , with no reported problems, just smiles. People who ride this bike love it.

For more info read in the M8 section the thread about M8 problems. For sure there have been a few problems, but very few. In the thread there is a lot of talk and opinions but very few problems. In the cases where there were problems HD did everything possible to make it right.

Based on my and my friends experiences and what I have read this is the best engine HD has produced.

Here is 41 pages of problems for you. I don't know how you feel but that is enough to make me want to wait.

I would wait for sure on them. Is the M8 in the Softail? If so, bet they will be putting that version in the Cruiser version for complete balance someday.

I took delivery of my 2017 Crushed Ice Pearl FLHXS on Sept. 21st, 2016.
6500 incredibly fun miles put on her, with a few mods, and full exhaust system. FuelMoto Jackpot 2/1/2 headpipe (Just got it last week) Cobra race pro mufflers, SE high flow air filter and fuel map from FuelMoto flashed with my PowerVision.
ABSOLUTELY ZERO ISSUES! The only problem is that I haven't had the time to go cross country.....yet.
If your're thinking about pulling the trigger, go for it! HD hit a home rum with these bikes.
