Never really got into the MPG thing unless I was out in the toolies somewhere with those " next services 156 miles " signs , my old shovels never got over 35 either. You read in here all the time guys crowing about getting 50+ mpg so I was wondering what everyone's reality actually is.

 

Been tracking the FW since it was new. After two years now it's 37.3 MPG. Have seen 46+ on occasion. Putting the windshield on hurts.

My 02 Dyna, carbed, tracking for 15 months, is showing 47.5.

Like the man says, YMMV...

 

Best I've ever done was 48 with any hd I had and that was with my 15 sg on the blue ridge pkw putting around at 35-45 mph.

My 17 sg only has 2000 on it and I'm getting 40-41 running 60-75 commuting to work everyday.

Guy at work has a 17 rg and boasts 50 all day long, but yeah he rides like granny!

 

My 14 Limited gets around 42 mpg back home. Gets much better when I can run premium w/o ethanol.

 

On my 2014 Deluxe the high was 49 low was 38 just cant seem to stop twisting that handle
