Mencho, i'm in the market for a windshield. Which one are you running? I like the fact that yours doesn't hug tight against handlebars. Are you pleased with this one? Also, how tall is windshield and how tall are you? I'm worried about figuring out the right height of windshield. I'm 6'-0" tall. Thank you in advance!

Default Gear Box Oil level problems?

HI, I hope I am on the right Thread for this, confused Newbie!
I have a new Road King Special FLHRXS. Only done just over 2k Miles. Loving the bike but got problems with the Transmission moving oil to the Primary Drive. Harley are aware and have suggested a fix to the dealers, their Reference is TA0022. I have recently had my bike done, but to my horror the problem persists. I have a great deal of faith in the technician that worked on my bike, and he was as confused as me as to why the fix didnt work. After riding just 60 miles, I had to top up the transmission with almost half a litre of oil !!
Any of you guys in the USof A with the same bike got this problem?

Ride safe guys,

Dave

Loads of the guys in the US are experiencing the problem.

Check out this thread - https://www.hdforums.com/forum/milwa...fix-is-in.html

Looks like a far better (and proper!) solution to the supposed HD fix.

PS - Welcome to the forums!

Thanks for your replies guys, that was very helpful. I will forward this to my dealer and see what they have to say.
My worry is that the transmission may have been running for some 600 miles with low oil, given that the stuff moved to the primary. I just hope that no damage has been done to the bearings and gears. Bike still under guarantee, so hopefully HD will have something positive to say.
Cheers an Ride Safe

I have run lots of S&S parts on multiple different bikes. What exactly are you asking about?
