2017 Ultra Low vs. 2011 SG 107

Hey all. Need to ask an advice question in this section if I may.

Two days ago a dealership was giving a t-shirt for a coming in and doing a demo ride. Wth might as well go see what this new 107 motor has to offer plus wanted to try an Ultra Low.

Rode my 2011 Street Glide with Fuel Moto 107 build up to the dealership. Mind you I just had the motor work done on my bike last year and am only $900 and some from having it be mine!

To the point. They didn't have a low to ride or even in stock. However, I rode a 17 Ultra Limited in two tone gray. There were pros and cons of course.

Pro. Motor is quiet and smooth of course as people state. Like the gear indicator on the speedo. Ride was super smooth as were the breaks. So so comfy and stable. Liked the heated grips (too hot at level 3). Nice Storage. Didn't play with the radio much cause I wanted to focus on the actual ride. Salesman originally swapped the seat to a reach seat to get me closer to the ground but that seat sucked! So went back to the stock seat.

Cons were the clutch. Hard pull. Almost all the way released before engagement. I have small hands lol. The feel of the switching of gears in the lever. The engine idle was not healthy and tachy/bouncy. The salesman didn't like it either. This particular bike had only 6 miles on it when I took it out.

I really want to test ride a low and then see what I feel. Would you stay with the current bike or think its worth trading in for the new?

Any opinions or advice go with it. No hard feelings. Purely a feel test to put out for public info to be gathered.

Thank you.

When I test rode a 2017 FLHXS after test riding a 2016 FLHXS I said, "I gotta have this 2017". It was that simple for me and I had two HD's all paid. The dealer took them both in trade.
If you are hesitating to pull the trigger then my advice would be to find a 2017 low to test ride even if you have to travel a bit to find one. I traveled 4 hours one way to find a dealer with a new 2016 and 2017 so I could test ride them back to back. Good luck.
