Default Stage 2 from dealer

I've never done this with a dealer. The end result will be high flow AC, Street Canons, Street tuner and a SE447 cam for around $2500 all in. All of this will still be going through the stock catted header.

Is it worth it or will I see a noticeable difference doing this with non-HD parts? If aftermarket won't get me significantly better results, I'd rather hang on to the warranty.

In stock trim the heat from the cat is pretty bad. (Installing a CoolFlow fan next week) Will a cam change make it worse, better or no difference?

Thanks

Thats the torque cam. You should really notice a bump in torque just in riding it. It will be much more snappy and way more throttle response. You'll enjoy it and you've kept your warranty in tact.

More worried about additional heat coming from the cat. I did see the dyno numbers on the stock vs SE447 cam and it is pretty impressive. I talked to the dealer today and they said I could go with the Stage 4 pipes which have cat's in the mufflers. They are proud of them at $1400, but that's for a complete true dual system and about the same as the S&S 50 state legal system.

I had the stage 2 installed in my ‘17 CVO and ‘18 RGS, really liked the improvement. It was compliant with SE parts and tuner. I did not notice it being any hotter than before the cam was installed. The opportunity I am seeing is $2,500, that’s steep. Around here you can get stage 2 cam, SE tuner and air cleaner for $1,200 installed. Slip ons are around $500, so $1,700 all in. I did switch to the S&S exhaust with the cats in the mufflers and the auto tuner, that’s another $1,700 but it cooled things down and the added torque was very noticeable. I would ask the dealer for a discount on parts/labor. You can always order the parts on-line and just pay for labor. I’ve normally be able to get 15-20% off anytime I’ve done an upgrade. If not shop around to other dealers or wait until winter when they are running specials to keep their techs busy.
Good Luck...

This, it’s a noticeable improvement, I didn’t notice any difference in heat when I did mine, same cam.8 added the cool flow fan later, it works really well too.
