Another way of lowering seat/butt height on: 2017 RGS
Here is another way of lowering the seat/butt height on a 2017 RGS. (see pics)
Part of the Fun of owning a Harley - Customize it Our Own Way
Removed OEM seat and stored it
Bought largest Steel Pan seat I could find on ebay
Added Thick cardboard along with the Pan to cover all the Electronics
Bought a New Aftermarket Passenger seat on ebay that Direct Bolts onto this bike - had to take the cover off this seat and shorten the foam about 2-3 inches on the front (was too long and jabbing into my back) then, re stapled the black cover back onto the seat.
Spray painted Pan with Black paint
Wrapped all cardboard with Black Duct Tape
Its surprisingly comfortable - it really drops the seat height and costs very little - it took quite a bit of time to make a Template for the Cardboard so I could get it to fit over everything correctly.
Sometimes my butt gets sore on it and have to take a short break/walk But, my butt gets just about as sore riding on an OEM seat as well.
