Has anyone fitted a rear fender light to their '17 Ultra? It's a shame Harley eliminated it.
If so, what was the part number and how complicated was wiring it in?

Yep it is a few minute job 100% plug and play.
Smoked lens Part number is 59776-10

They do I just don't have the part number.

 

Better check as to fitment. Harley site says it only fits up to 2016.

 

Check fitment It say 2016 and latter This on a 2017 RGU. There is no difference in the rear fender on a Rushmore and a M8.
Last picture is the part you remove 2 screws reuse them run wire up plug in slot in tail light your are done.
Maybe 15 minutes with coffee.
If you go with Smoke forget that silly red reflector looks like crap. Some safety thing.
59776-10 is Smoke
59685-10 is Red

One more quick question, are that real fender lights LEDs?

 

I do not know. I think they are not LED. They look exactly like the lights on your tour pack. The picture I posted gives an idea of how bright they are and how they match LED tail light and tour pack.
This shows it with other LEDS and brake applied.

Just got mine from Boardtracker . Their description says it's LED, but it doesn't really say it anywhere on the packaging. Nonetheless, it is every bit as bright as the other LED lighting I have on the back and I like it much better than the cheap looking chrome piece they had on there. This is the red lens one on a 2017 RGU.
