Great looking bike. I am not in the market for a new bike yet but I can see a Roadglide in my future. Congratulations!

Congrats, the Laguna Orange is a great color. Glad to hear you got a sweet deal on your new scoot. Once you get some miles under your belt it will be time to do some mods to make it your own, lol. Enjoy.

I have been eyeballing the new special myself, but didn't take for a test ride. One day maybe.
Congrats

Congrats!!

I went from a 2015 Switchback to a 2017 RGU. You made the right decision.

As for the slow speed maneuvers, I recommend these books:

Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well 2
by David L. Hough

Maximum Control: Mastering Your Heavyweight Bike
by Pat Hahn

Then take a riding course.

Congrats on your new scooter. O and by the way, you did choose the best color currently available on the specials.

Thanks for the great advice and for a look at your beautiful bike. I've signed up for a technical riding course and am gonna get the books you suggested ASAP. Training is the key to handling stressful situations. In that regards, I've had four years of defensive tactical training with firearms that have helped to keep me personally safe and I'm certainly not too proud to learn skills that I need to be safe on the Road Glide.

Congrats on the bike, training...training....and then more training! I don't care how long you've been riding or skill level, never turn down available training, you can always learn new riding skills. If slow speed turns are intimidating then you need to learn clutch/rear brake control, keeping power to the rear wheel will keep that big boy off of the pavement. Enjoy it and ride safe.

boy ain't that the truth, been riding one form of motorcycle or another for half my life and a couple years ago our dealership sponsored an Advanced Riding Skills class at a discount...guess what? I learned new things that I have since worked on applying, imagine that! can never be too safe or too visible
