117 Stage IV build vs 103 Stage IV build
My good riding buddy just bought a 17 SGS in January. He ordered the stage IV kit for it with the 117 high dome pistons, cam, D & D 2-1 head pipe & ported/polished heads. He had them installed and ran it 500 miles with a Vance & Hines map. He wasn't very impressed with the V&H map but had it scheduled for a dyno tune at our local HD dealer. The result was 115 HP/115 Ft/Lbs of torque - which is exactly where my 2015 Stage IV 103 came in at - and it was tuned by the same service tech. I'm really surprised that the 117 didn't come in higher.
While his bike is lighter than mine, as I have a top box, I keep up with him through all the gears. The only area I seem to lag is at lower RPMs pulling hills. His bike has more torque at lower RPMs and with the 259e cams, my bike doesn't really start to pull until 3500 RPMs. Thoughts? Has anyone else gone with the big-bore 117 kit in their 107? What were your results?

You can post similar numbers with a simple cam swap and tune from fuel moto:
