I did it! I'm new Harley owner Street Glide Special
Hello All
I finally made my mind I purchase a 2017 Street Glide Special during the weekend. (Yes I got the fastest model Vivid Black)
I would like to thanks the forum for answering some questions I had before purchase.
I'm been riding bikes my entire life grew up with dirt-bikes and super-sport bikes, this is my first Harley and I'm super impressed and surprised how easy it handles, Wife loves riding and with 2 UP the bike rides really well... we already started planning trips.
The upgrade list is has begin, going to change seat, was thinking about CVO seat or the mustang solo wide tripper (looking for a seat that will lower and push me back), next is the footboard and brake pedal that needs to be worked on the, the brake pedas is too high and too close to me so need investigate what route go there.
Looking forward to riding this summer!
cheers

Congrats. One way to adjust footboards is with spacers. One of the first things I bought for my new scoot. They are easy to install, and provide 3/4" space between your footboards, pedals and derby cover (left side) and pipes (right side). I also highly recommend highway pegs and mounts if you're over 5'10" in height. Revzilla sells the spacers for $35.99, here is the link:

There are way too many highway pegs and mounts to list. HD has some nice ones but there are a ton of aftermarket ones. Depends on your style. Look around and then pull the trigger. You won't regret it. Cheapest mods that can make a huge difference in comfort. Great bang for the buck. Just my two cents worth. Enjoy your new scoot.
