Man I don't remember seeing any insert in my FM head pipe? What's it look like?

Like a baffle or reducer that has a bolt on the bottom to hold it.It was on my m8 2-1-2 header from fuel moto i just left it in Jamie could tell more about it, i would say it holds a little back pressure. It's called a tuneable collector insert TCI.

Guess I will go take another look at mine. I didn't look that close in my pipe. Thank you for the info.

As I understand it, it looks identical to the stock head pipe. The difference being the FM version is catless and constructed from stainless steel.

I know Fuel Moto makes great things, just curious what the advantage of their pipe is over the stock with the cat removed? I'm only asking to understand, not making any kind of statement. Fuel Moto is a first class outfit no question.

power wise not much difference maybe a couple of horsepower and torque.
but lifetime warranty,no cat,and this pipe with that collar in it helps torque and the way I understand it you can pull the reducer, than the pipe can help if you deside to go big on motor.

AND the Fuel has room for wide band 02 which I use with the target tune and my bike runs super amazingly great....
