On my FLHRC MY 2015 the control lights including the engine control light came on if the ignition was switched on. After Sode seconds the control lights except the ABS control lights went off.

When does the engine check light should turn off at my new FLHR M8?
After a few seconds like the FLHRC from 2015 or only after engine runs?

Pretty sure my M8 engine light stays on until I start the bike. When I bought my bike the guy at the dealer that was going over it with me also expected the engine light to go out after a few seconds so when it didn't he had to check another 2017 and found it did the same thing.

 

After you start it. My salesman specifically stated it does not turn off like it did with TCs.
