Default 2017 Milwaukee 8 cams

I have a m8 fuel moto 2-1-2 exhaust and target tune with screaming eagle 447 tq cam. Would be worth to switching to woods cam or dragos?

Default Fuel moto

yes I know, just hoping I can get 114tq without the 2-1 pipe. Either that or just do the 117 big bore. But I don't really need 135 tq

If your not in a hurry there are cams coming that will do just what you ask. Be careful when looking at dynosheets so that you compare apples to apples as your sheet is set to DIN corrections and it really should be in SAE corrections, as no one any longer uses the DIN corrections. What you are asking for is good torque ride off idle and that means the dyno sheet needs to show you the run starting down at 1500 RPM and on up the RPM band. Lots of sheets start above 2000 RPM and hide what you need to see down low, so that you focus on the gains above 5000 RPM. I do not know how you ride but my bet is you do not spend much time above 5000 RPM and mainly spend your time in the 2000 - 4000 RPM area. If so, look for the gains in those areas as that is what your going to be riding.

I have the Woods 222 cam. I'm waiting and wanting something else.
Like Steve said, we need something that starts at idle and doesn't drop until around 42-4500 RPMs.
The next cam swap will be a piece of cake. I already replaced the cam bearing and have adjustable push rods.
Good luck in your search.

I think the 447s is a very good cam for low to mid range torque. I felt a noticeable difference when I went to the SE stage 2 torque cam kit w/V&H headers/mufflers and SE heavy breather. Not sure another cam will give you significantly more unless you go for stage III or IV. As mentioned earlier don't go by the dynos posted on manufacturer websites. They are sales tools and usually a bit exagerated. Search for real life users of those cams to see what numbers they are really getting. Also need to figure out in what range you want those increases. The 447s are designed for low-end torque. Below is a sample chart. Again take these things with a grain of salt.

I'm headed to Wisconsin to try the Wood 777 at the end of the month. It was recommended by both Bob Wood, and Jamie for the higher compression in the Stage III.
