Default Black Trim Ring for JW Speaker EVO 2

I tried searching here and could not find anything. I'm ordered a JW Speaker Evo 2 in black for my SGS. I remember on my old pre rushmore SG, there was always a gap in the bottom of the trim ring and I had to buy the extended version so the headlight wasn't sticker out so far. Is this still any issue? I'd like to try and find a black stock trim ring as long as the headlight doesn't stick out past is as in the past.

Does it still stick out if using the stock trim ring and if not, does anyone know who makes one of one that will not have a gap at the bottom? I'd just really love to avoid that gap at the bottom again.

Thanks.

I ordered a chrome one a couple of days ago. Should be in tomorrow. If you can wait a couple of days I can let you know if they got rid of the gap or not.

I have the same setup, same gap at the point the trim ring meets. Tried to make sure the original ring was loose enough for the new ring to slip under it well. This helped the gap somewhat but its still noticeable. No adapters needed, other than the wiring harness to convert from dual bulb to single input.

I've got a lot less of a gap. The trim ring fits a lot better.

Sorry for the dirty bike and bad cell phone pics but you can see...

You are using the stock trim ring correct? I'm so I may just try and find another one and have it powder-coated black.
