I've no idea if this is true in this case or not, but it is a simple matter to have the ECM set a "bit" if it has ever been flashed by a NonOEM tuner. That bit can then be read later to determine is it had ever been modified......

The safe bet and nice scooter would be the HD, cam, exhaust, AC and Tuner. No warranty issues and a improved machine. After the warranty go big cam, heads, decat, massive compression, fill ups at the local airport.

A HD Tech. He may not have been referring to TTS though ? There was a lot going on in this conversation. Sorry, wish I was sure on that for you ...

I would ask yourself what kind of power do you want before dropping a bunch of money. I'm sure the dealer told you what to expect with the stage 2 447 cam. There are dyno sheets on here and on youtube with the results. Most have seen mid-low 100's tq and mid-high 90's hp. If you think that will meet your needs, go for it. I have the 447 cam in my stage 3 and it pulls good from 2500-4500 rpms. As far as the header, i.m.o its the least bang for the buck. Get a good flowing intake. If you're going SE, I found the heavy breather works well.

My issue was I didn't know if it would work to have a TTS with only the A/C, and slip ons. I wanted to cool down the Cat a bit and improve the performance. So I priced the HD TQ cam as well. Then the parts guy pulled out a Fuel Moto cat less head pipe that uses stock exhaust chrome. Well, I had to price it out...

As far as the TTS, it's all about your dealer. Make sure they've got your back if need be on a warranty issue. If you've had 3, you know they will fine tune much better than the SE tuner.

another thing to possibly consider is seeing how the trans fluid to primary issues shake out since it appears to be more prevalent at high rpms...what good is spending thousands to have a high hp high rpm build if it means you'll exacerbate the problem

I was told the same thing by the service manager at my local dealer. He said it stores the last date of modification that HD can see when it's plugged into digital tech. If yours shows an update the day before service it would raise flags but I am not sure what they could do about it if the original tune was in there.

Forget about the smog cam. Tman or cyclerama. Even the new SS would be and option.
