Happy with my M8s Power want better sound
I've been shopping for some Exhaust options for my M8 and torn between something like S&S MK45 slip-ons and a DandD 2 into 1. I assume the 2 into 1 would for sure require tuning. I like to keep it simple. Also do the M8s work well with 2 into 1 like the Twin Cam's did?

Zoom is steering you in the right direction. My good friend has them on a 2016 Limited with the cat removed and they sound awesome and it tuned great on the dyno. Made 93.5hp and 115tq stock with only a Roland Sands breather and tuned at J&B Performance with a Power Vision tuner.

To be honest a lot of the M8 slip on's sound very similar at idle and being reved slightly in neutral. I have V&H elliminators. My friend has the S&S MK45's and I have heard the RCX and Rienhart at a local dealer demo. The Reinharts were the only ones that sounded a little different. They sound like reinharts of old but they are all deep and not overly loud.

the key is to lose the cat. most of these mufflers will sound similar with stock headers. I would say get a muffler that have removable baffles. This will allow you to test a few difference scenarios. I personally like the V&H. Two bolts and baffles come right out. With the 400 Eliminators I was able to remove the baffles completely (too loud) as well as easily modify them to get the deep low rumble I was looking for. Simple 10min job. Sound got much better (loping sound) when I swapped to catless headers and stage II.

I put the S&S MK45's on my M8 and like them alot. After 3000 miles, they do break in and sound deeper now and have a nice bark when you twist it. The other thing I like about the S&S MK-45, they are Jet-Hot coated (ceramic based) and not just painted. Also have the removable baffles as well.

I really like my Tab Performance BAM sticks with Zombie baffles (removable and they have 3 different types of baffles for them).
I ran Freedom Performance slipons with a Fullsac header on my 15 RGS and it was much deeper than the Tab's but the Tab's have more of a hot rod sound to them. I don't know how to describe it any other way. I'm just really happy with them
