Default Convo with mechanic after 1st service

Him: why didn't you want your oil changed?
Me: because I just did it.
Him: what did you use?
Me: Amsoil.
Him: well I recommend HD 360. The only oil related engine failures I've seen were do to Amsoil.
Me: this is my 4th Harley using Amsoil, never had an issue.
Him: yup, what happens is the rollers won't spin in the bearings.
Me: so you're saying Amsoil is too slippery?
Him: essentially that's the problem
Me: I'm not talking to you anymore, that's ridiculous.
Him: (as I'm walking away) no it's not....

Shoulda told him you compensate for the too-slippery oil by adding a little sand to it.....

Ask him if he would be willing to put that in writing.

Then ask him if it's so slippery that the roller bearings won't spin where would any friction come from to damage those roller bearings?

I used to hear that excuse before Harley came out with her own synthetic.

What a moron. My 2011 RGU has 49,425 miles on it with nothing but synthetic. Syn3 and now Amsoil. It still runs like brand new and uses less than half a quart between oil changes every 5k. If my bearings go bad are they going to blame it on Amsoil or Syn3?

Yeah that guy is an idiot. Or he was hoping you were an idiot, believe him, and let him change your oil to HD360.
