I follow these threads , having zero twin cam experience to draw on sometimes sorting out all the weird ****ing noises these M8's make sometimes drives me to distraction.

If that doesn't free the adjuster, slowly come to a stop in second gear and don't pull in the clutch till the engine lugs but before the engine stalls. The first method should do the trick.

On a brand new bike? I know the chain will stretch, but I wouldn't think that quick, IDK. I have almost 5K on mine, and the other day I stopped for about 10 minutes and when I started her back up, I heard a loud ticking/tapping noise, not sure where it was coming from, I was next to traffic and could not hear it well. My bike is completely quiet when cold.

Yeah, it was a goofy issue. I am going to relax, enjoy my ride and not worry anymore about my motor. I have 1000 miles, its going in for the first service. After I get it back, I'm going to ride the heck out of it. Tell you this much, I took a long ride on the 4th, i put 300 miles on it. whenever i stopped for a drink of water, I always had a nice conversation with someone who owns a Harley. They all loved my bike, so do I.

Ludington state park on July 4th. Great day, great ride. drank a lot of Bourbon when i got home and celebrated our nations birthday!

Great looking bike. I did the same thing. Ride, **** Creek and a few choice Rocky Patel's. The M8 pulls like a train.

That is exactly what I am hearing from my new 2018 M8 Lowrider. Much more noticeable when cold.
