Hello,I am from Germany and have a M8 Electra Glide Police.
When the bike was new the engine was very smooth.But when I got back the bike from the 1000 miles service,the engine runs worse .Dealer say it is everything ok.Now I do not know what I should do.Does everboby have an idea what is happen ? I know,that before service HD 360 oil is in the engine,now SYN 3 .

fluid swap won't make the engine run worse..unless the engine oil was WAY overfilled....did they test ride it after your complaint? if they have another EG you and them should ride both to compare..."the engine runs worse" should be easy to validate...congrats and good luck

Is the idle too low, a lot of people have noticed that it seems to be idling too low after the 1000 mile servicing? If it is the overall opinion that the engine is running worse through the whole range of gears, then I agree with the others that there is nothing in the 1000 mile servicing that would effect that. In terms of SYN 3 for the primary, the transmission and the oil, there are a lot of us that dump that crap as soon as we change our fluids after the 1000 mile servicing. I myself go with Amsoil primary fluid in my primary, Amsoil transmission fluid in my transmission and Amsoil Synthetic oil for oil. That's just my personal preference but both of my M8s shift smoother after doing the change over.

 

i thought mine ran worse afterward as well but after a couple hundred miles it smoothed right back out, might have been all in my head!

 

I serviced both our CVOs at 1000 miles myself with SYN3 all 3 holes no difference in running.I wonder if tech did some updates to the ECM which will relate it to run differently then before.

 

They may have turned your EITMS on. Is it running rough all the time or just at idle.
