Default Factory Installed Smart Security System Option

WTF? It's a $395 factory option, on a $20,000 bike, and it doesn't come with the siren?? Kind of chicken sheit! The siren is a dealer option for $95, plus probably $100 to install. Just adding it to the list of stuff I'm buying from Surdyke.

If you don't already have it, pick up the service manual. You can throw that bad boy on yourself

Consider yourself lucky - you could be installing it on a Breakout that requires you to remove the rear tire. Mine's "in the mail" from Surdyke right now for my SGS.

Exactly.....remove cover, plug in siren, slip it into slot, reinstall cover. Took more time for OP to type out post than the actual procedure.

If your bike came with the "Security" option installed but not the alarm buzzer you can go to a Radio Shack or other electronics store and for $12.00 or so buy one of their Piazo alarms. I had one on my 2009 and I put one on my M8 as well. Simple to install. Go to YouTube and search for Harley Alarm. There are a bunch of videos on there that show how it is done.

You mean like leaving off $200 heated grips on a $25,000 Limited Low, while offering them in the P&A catalog?
