Went from a Street Glide to the 17 RGS at Christmas, test riding, the front felt more nimble on RGS also felt great at highway speeds. I always like looks of each, but being a bigger man, I felt more comfortable on the Road Glide. Definitely took some getting used to the dash being far away. 7000 miles later, I'm still very pleased.

One thing I noticed, everyone told me I'd hate the head light not turning, but unless you in a parking lot and very low speed the fairing very rarely turns, you lean the whole bike, so i haven't really even noticed it.

I've had 2 roadglides and now a streetglide. Both great bikes no reason to get one over the other, just personal choice.

The other selling point was coming from many years on WGs the RGs felt lighter in the front due to the frame mounted fairing and seemed to handle easier at slow speed more similar to a non fairing bike
Love the color, picking my BS/VB RGU on Sunday!

That is not glare. That is the sun reflection in your eyes. I don't believe you never had this happen on yours. It is not like your screen is positioned any different that the one I had. I got rid of mine after six weeks of riding it.

RG's still have more weight on the front end than the batwing bikes, so no benefit there.

That's over the tire. It's much lighter on the trees/neck to swing back and forth - like a road king.
Also big gusts of wind from say Semi trucks don't steer the bars like a batwing... Basically you don't feel big gusts of wind at all.

For the record, I've never been blinded by the radio. Couple of times its been hard to see, but I could think of worse things.

I have owned them both and both are great bikes and do there own thing better than the other. I tend to go back and forth. Comes down to personal preference for sure.

Having spent a bunch of time on both, there's no difference with wind gusts. Buffeting is worse with the batwing stock but fork deflectors and a little taller windscreen make it every bit as comfy as the RG.

7000 miles, notice any issues with the trans fluid going into your primary? Curious. I need to ride mine more.
